  • 1. Prep the Potatoes: Wash the potatoes. Using a sharp kitchen knife, cut them into uniform strips, about ¼ inch thick. Uniformity ensures even cooking.


  • 2. Soak and Dry: Place the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and soak for at least 10 minutes. This step removes excess starch, which helps achieve a crispier texture. Drain and pat the potatoes dry with a towel. Moisture is the enemy of crispiness!
     


  • 3. Season and Cook: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, toss the dried potatoes with olive oil, salt, and any other desired seasonings.


  • 4. Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

  • 5. Cook for 10-14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
